This article examines the limited literature available on the treatment of homicidal children and
adolescents. Various methods of treatment for this population are reviewed including psychotherapy,
psychiatric hospitalization, institutional placement, and psychopharmacologic agents. The body of
research on homicidal youths is progressing very slowly, and definitive treatments and prognostic
data in this heterogeneous population are for the most part lacking. [References: 55]
